A long season...

This is written in a hotel room in Exton, PA.

This is going to be a long season. Long in both a literal and symbolic sense. These kids give their all for me, night in and night out. However, if they are continually thrown into the mix against teams that simply have more skill and experience then I doubt we will make it through this year looking the same as we do now.

It seemed back in May and June I had time to write books for this blog. Heck, it's been nine months since I started this thing and the post (as I am sure you have noticed) are getting less and less frequent. Well there is good reason for that. One, Amy's here now, and the time that was usually spent in front of a PC is now spent with her.....just spending time together, catching up for the last year of living apart. It's absolutely the best thing ever to have us under the same roof in a wonderful new apartment. Both of us working and just doing the husband and wife thing.

Two, NAN has become a very, very busy place. Just look at it in these terms; When I first worked there in 1998-1999, there were 16 full-time employees, including four Project Managers. At this point, we now have 7 full-time employees, including two Project Managers. This reduction in manpower is not coinciding with a reduction in projects which means that not only is the workload doubling, but the people that the managers count on to get the bits and pieces done on the projects are nowhere to be seen.

The end result is more work, same money, and very low morale. Not that I am complaining. I do love the work that I do, I'm good at it and it does give me an opportunity to help out people. We are currently working with the Department of Health and Human Services on delivering PSA's to the affected areas of Hurricane Katrina. If you go to www.radiospace.com you will see what we are working on.

So that's it for now. As time allows I'll post some pictures of the apartment. We've gotten all of our furniture delivered and it looks great! Amy's sisters are in town in November to go dress shopping for Deanna & Chris' wedding on June 10th (nine months you guys!)

Later people!
